thankful and merry

apologies for my lack of posting, but when you’re surrounded by family, wine, and good food, it’s hard to get to a computer, and honestly, who would want to leave all that? this was the first thanksgiving we’ve spent back in texas in a long time and it was fantastic. amazing food, a house full of delightful smells, witty banter, reminiscing, and of course wine. this one day of coming together gives me enough to be thankful for to last until next year.

naturally black friday for us means staying home and putting up christmas! holiday music filled the living room as we put up the tree, and started hanging ornaments, which is usually a two day process, because we have to stop and tell the story of each ornament, take an eggnog break, and go back for turkey leftovers.

this is sadie’s first christmas and she was enamored with the tree and the ornaments. ugh, so cute.

i’m definitely thankful for the little things that bring such merriment this time of year.
